Assuming you have K2 installed, you can do either.
Use a joomla article or use a k2 item depending on what you want to show in the static page and if you need the extras that a k2 item will display. If all you want is text, it would be quicker to point to a regular joomla article and you wont have to turn everything you dont want to show off. If you dont change the article or item it wont change in either case

Thanks William. I had desided to just use the joomla article. It is faster for just an static page. But if I was to use K2 how do I not have the Catagory show up if I was to do a mod that shows the different catagories? I would want the static one to show up.

When creating the menu link choose K2 Item
In the k2 items category paramaters, set the item view like you want it
