Cannot input tags in back end was created by that library
Hello fellow K2 users!

I have recently updated K2 to v 2.4.1 and I am not able to input any tags into the text field in the Joomla! back end. I can type in the box, but neither a comma nor pressing 'Enter' will actually make the tag 'stick' so I can add another one.

I'm not sure what is going on or while file or script is responsible for this?

I have re-uploaded all of the administrator files from the 2.4.1 package and still it is the same.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

In the K2 parameters advance settings is the tagging system set to free tagging?

Hey Carolyn, Im also having this problem. I can add tags when I initially create the item, if I go back to edit the item tags dont stick.

Terry I have free tagging set.

OK.. I just had this and a friend told me about it.....

go to your Joomla Plugins section and make sure your MooTools upgrade is disabled...

Worked immediately I did that

hmm... the plugin for mootools upgrade was disabled. I enabled, tested - disabled, tested. no success.

I think you'll find that it's a jQuery/MooTools conflict somewhere along the lines. Without knowing what template you are using and what other components/modules/plugins are installed it's a little hard to know what could be causing it.

Thanks for all the replies!! I tried disabling the MooTools Upgrade and it didn't make any difference. I'm using GavickPro's MusicTube template, and before updating my K2 version, this was not an issue. :(

I have re-uploaded all of the K2 files, and carefully checked to see that they all have the correct permissions and are the correct file size, so I don't really know what to do next?

You could try going back to the previous version of K2 . . . there's obviously an issue with the current version of K2's handling of jquery/mootools in some templates/configurations which hasn't been addressed or resolved yet.
