There is not an option to do this.  My site doesn't use favorites.  How can I eliminate it from the front end add item form?

This will work to change the front end editing form. it doesnt address your issue, but shows how to change the front end form. if you search in the same files for favorite, you will probably find the code so you can comment it out.
