Moving read more/comments was created by Jimmy Walker
Hi everyone,

I have been learning a lot about Joomla about the last few weeks and have just about completed making a site, however, one thing I am not sure about still is how to move components without floating them left or alligning them.

For example, I would like to have the read more and comments bit on this - oi51.tinypic.com/fnr0xh.jpg - at the end of the intro text rather than below the picture but I am unsure how to do it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

First, learn to create a K2 template

Next, in the template edit the category.php (looks like the view you jpg depicts) locate the readmore code and move it to display just after intro text...

Thanks William. Which category.php would it be as there are a few in different locations?

if you are learning to create an override

you should copy yoursiteroot/components/com_k2/templates/default/category.php to

YourSiteRoot/templates/YourSelectedTemplate/html/com_k2/templates/default/category.php.....Make the changes there and when you reinstall k2 you will not loose your changes. Please refer to the link about k2 templates is sent

Thank you very much. Would this also be the route to change the font size in k2 articles? I have tried changing k2.css but it doesn't seem to have any impact and the only thing I can see on firebug that makes a different is element.style (but I have no idea where that is!)
