I've just installed the new 2.5 beta on a test site and I've adjusted the item model to recognise the presence of the Simple Image pro plugin and, for future, the All videos plugin. I've attached the altered model file in case it is of any help. The functions I've adapted are checkSIG() and checkAllVideos().
