hey guys,

i´m pretty new to K2 but i´m using joomla for quite some time now.

 

I know there are some other treads about this topic but none gave me a real answer.

 

I´m currently redoing my homepage to make it K2 driven but i´m missing a module which works like UCD.

 

All i´ve found for free aren´t working as UCD is, with effects, config and stuff and i don´t want to buy a random plugin or module which i can´t really test as shareware or something like that.

 

Could you point me to a similar Module, doesn´t matter if buyed or free, it just has to be as much configurable as UCD.

 

Sidenote: The built in k2_content doesn´t fit my needs as i want the ajax fade effect.

 

I´m using some plugins and modules which need mootools and don´t work with jquery.

Hm do i need to pay for a club membership in order to get the free extensions?

Certainly not! But the very popular and powerful Gavick-Tools just need a FREE registration to download ;-)

LoF website has FREE and commercial stuff. Its a bit complex and confusing with the vast amount of extensions... just browse their website and demo sites.

 

One exception:

FPSS - FrontpageSlideshow from Joomlaworks is NOT FREE. Its currently rewritten for J16 and K2 support.

FPSS J15 can be used with K2 J15, but it has no K2 category/item selection! I guess, that is what you are looking for, right?

With Gavicks NSP, you may achieve any layout you want. The downside: It has a LOT OF options ;-) A lot of things are controlled with parameters... special styling and design may require CSS knowledge. 

 

Alternative I remember Rockettheme Extensions Club (look for RokNewsPager)

CSS is not a big problem, i´m getting used to it.
