I use k2 to create a directory listing for restaurants, hotels, services etc... When i make a search on google for one of my listings, i get the item page, the category page, the tag page (on some items several entries) since they all display the intro text. Sometimes the category or tag page would even rank higher than the item page.

Isn't it wrong from a SEO point of view? what can i do to give more predominance to my item page?
