Hi,

I got a problem with the item media cache.

The image cache decrease my website speed dramatically.

I think it's because of the images handling. The media src directory is about 86 Mb big and the cache folder is more than 4.5 times bigger (390MB).

Do someone have a solution about my problem. I've read the other threads but could not find a answer.

You need all type of image? Large, Extra Large, Extra Small, Small, Medium? If not just delete the creation of other type of image sizes. Also check the jpg quality (i use 30 for example).

Last thing, if you don't have to store the cache infinitely why don't delete it sometime or automatically when an article is trashed?
