I want to allow "author" to ONLY edit (on the front-end) their pages.

I created an user group with the following settings: 


Post comments: Yes
Front-end item editing: Yes (This is what I need these users to be able to do)
Add items: NO 
Edit own items: YES
Edit any item: NO
Publish Items: YES

Permission granted ONLY in their category

 

RESULT: the author can open the front-end editor and save changes BUT the article becomes UNPUBLISHED and is presented with the following error "
You don't have the permission to publish items." 

 

I am forced to change ADD ITEMS to YES in order for the authors to be able to successfully edit their articles but that presents a problem as I DO NOT want them to ADD items to their categories.

 

Any idea how to FIX this issue?
