All folders and file permission were 755 and 644 .... error still exists.
any more ideas? please?

Are you using any 3rd party K2 extensions?

No I am not using any 3rd party k2 ext. I can goto the joomla admin but when i click on k2 under component menu, i get the following error msg

Fatal error: Class 'K2HelperPermissions' not found in /www/htdocs/w00d9e99/Joomla/administrator/components/com_k2/k2.php on line 39

i want to uninstall k2 but i have alot of items already. so i dont think that would be a good idea.
