We do this all the time, never a problem Go to 'Author Publishing Status' in an item and hit the small calendar icon.

Installed the latest version and still the same, clicking on the calendars does not enter any dates, weirdly tho' it did let me publish the item manually.

This issue actually is not related to K2.
Some extension is firing jQueryUI scripts pretty much everywhere.
This is why the tabs appear broken and the inputs appear blank, they do hold values however.
