Image upload issues was created by Lhx1985
Hi,
I realise that there is another similar issue on the forums first page about image uploads not working. I don't think this is the same issue.
I am unable to upload images using K2.

I have set the max memory in K2 settings to 128. There is a similar value in the php.ini where the max file upload has been upped to 25M.

I can upload the file inside the attachment tab - but not in the images tab.
Instead, the interface returns:

Notice :The image was not uploaded. Please ensure that you used a valid image file and that file uploads are properly configured on your server.

The only worthwhile error I've seen in the php error log is:
[14-Sep-2016 19:59:49 Europe/Berlin] PHP Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; upload has a deprecated constructor in /var/www/**********/administrator/components/com_k2/lib/class.upload.php on line 624

I am running with K2 v2.7.1 / Joomla 3.6.2. My server is Apache2 on Ubuntu 16.04 with PHP 7.08.

I have tried installing K2 2.7.0 but no win.

Any thoughts or pointer?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Which other K2 related extensions are you using?
Are mime-types correctly set in your server?

Hi Krikor
Thanks for the reply.

My mime types look alright, as far as I can tell. Following in /etc/mime.types
image/jpeg jpeg jpg jpe
similar entries for png and gif.

I've installed K2 and AllVideos and Simple Image Gallery Pro.

If it were a mime-types issue, wouldn't it prevent me from uploading as an attachment? Just a thought, still very much puzzled by this one.

I've made an interesting discovery.

K2 2.7.0 and 2.7.1 do not allow me to upload images from the images tap via upload or by browse server.

If I install K2 2.6.9 Everything works as it should (apart from PHP7 moaning about some depreciated code)

When I upgrade to 2.7.1 again, the images tab is broken once more.

(Further to my previous message, I did work out that I've actually got another plugin I'd forgotten about. AdditionalCategories.)

I'd like to move to 2.7.1 but something somewhere is broken. Any ideas?

Additional Categories from what I remember does not support K2 2.7, unless an update has been released.

Apart from that extension are you using anything else?
