SOLVED - Changing item access level in backend does not work was created by Bam Bam
Hey everybody,
I got a problem at one of my Joomla-sites running K2 (Joomla 3.6.2, K2 2.7.1).
A few days ago I wanted to change the access level of some articles in backend. But after saving, the article was at the old level again. By trying to change the level in frontend there was no problem.
So I had a look at the console while changing the access level in backend. There were two issues listed:I think that is the reason why changing the level won't apply.
Can anybody help me to get it work again?
Thanks,
Matthew.

jquery.min.js:2 Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [href=#metadata]

Can anybody help me to get it work again?
Thanks,
Matthew.

Hello Matthew,
This is not a JS issue.
Can you send me a screenshot of the ACL before and after the save?

Oh. I thought it's because of JS.
Here are the Screenshots .
As said before: in frontend everything works normal.
Thanks for help, Krikor! :)

It it was a JS error the tabs and chozen would not work either.
Now, are you using any 3rd party K2 extensions?
Did this happen out of the blue or was this behaviour present from the start?

Sorry for late answering. I was a bit busy the last days.
I'm using two 3rd party extensions: "additional categories" and "sw maps". I really don't know when this happened. Before I noticed this behaviour I did'nt use this feature. I also customized / overrided the default.php for the backend. Maybe I should have a look at it.

Ehem... It was the default.php. I copied the ACL-dropdown up to the category-dropdown and forgot to delete the original code of the ACL-dropdown. I didn't see that, because I setted a "display: none" style to that tag. So, the ACL was two times in the form and the script applied only the last setted option (original ACL-dropdown).
How embarrassing... Sorry...
