Hi,

We have a Joomla website in Thai language. I've installed the latest Joomla and K2 versions, however, when I tested the Admin filter search, K2 wouldn't display correct results. This happens only when I query the Thai keywords or phrases. For english is fine.

Please follow the link to see a screenshot of a sample query with incorrect result. - > prntscr.com/d13dqi

Can anyone help me please or if you've ever encountered the same w/ your own language translation?

Hoping for your kind assistance.

Thanks

Hi i did it, somehow, resolved it ... but sadly, not completely. Mostly it would display blank result when searching thai keywords or phrases. I'm stuck in this only but our publishers need to use the filter search from the backend.

Hoping for your guidance. Thanks

Please note the illustrations as per screenshot below where, Target keyword is a sample desired keyword to search containing a tone mark (special characters of thai character for intonation). Search Keyword is when the desired keyword is placed on search field box. Search Result is the result of the search returning no records, and notice the keyword in the search textfield is changed upon searching where the tone marks are gone. So I think that's the reason why it is unable to return correct results.

Target Keyword - prntscr.com/da9lam
Search Keyword - prntscr.com/da9lja
Search Result - prntscr.com/da9lov

And actually, when i include a special characters w/ english keywords, the special characters are being removed (or perhaps not included on search)

HOpe you are getting me and able to help in this.

Thanks in advance.

Since my Thai is really bad, can you give some examples so I can try to replicate them in my site?

try to create an english keyword mixed with any special characters, then, search it. When I tried this, it won't return any results, Notice also that the keyword being searched has the special characters removed from search textfield.

Thank you so much for the attention I am getting here. I really appreaciate it!
