Very newbie question here.
Is there an "app" for iPad where I can create blog posts and then post them in to my Joomla site that has K2 installed and have them automatically publish to the site on the front page in the right catabolise. ?

You do not need an app to accomplish this. I use my iPad to add content to my K2 site.
As for scheduled publishing, use the K2 publishing dates to control when a post goes live.

Hello as Joe says, Joomla!'s UI is already responsive so an app is not needed.

Furthermore unfortunately Joomla! does not offer any apps at the moment.
