Sorry for the dramatic title, but it seems that even though it is unpublished, the K2 User plugin still overrides the default joomla registration on my website. Any ideas on how to fix this?

It's no coincidence that drama was born in Greece hehe :)
Now, the plugin will only synchronise the users and automatically assign them to K2 user groups.

You need to disable the user profile from K2's settings.
