Redirecting from k2 login page to custom page was created by Scott Oman
Dear K2 Developers and Community,
I created a custom login/registration page like the one you have on JoomlaWorks (www.joomlaworks.net/members), so I would like to redirect users to that page instead of the default K2 login/joomla pages.
If I create a redirect using the Joomla 3 redirect component to redirect from an out-of-date page to a 404 page or an updated page, it works perfectly. However, when I attempt to redirect users to the custom page I've created...
For example:
The source url is: www.mysite.com/component/users/?view=login
The destination url is: www.mysite.com/registration
It won't redirect. So if users click a button that links to a page that only registered users can access, the page automatically sends them to www.mysite.com/component/users/?view=login, and will not redirect to www.mysite.com/registration.
Can you please give me some advice so that I can resolve this issue and redirect to my custom page?
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Scott

Hello,
This is actually the login (component) view of SocialConnect.
www.joomlaworks.net/extensions/commercial/socialconnect
Furthermore the links you posted are ones of Joomla!'s default user component pages. K2 uses these views and not-vice versa.

I see. Thanks.
Unfortunately the issue remains.
Since K2 uses those pages, do you happen to know a fix for this, or why I might not be able to redirect to another page?

The login page is not used by K2, only the profile/ register one.
If you are using the component, then this is a core Joomla! view.
If you are using K2's K2 User module then you can control the redirects from the module's "Login & logout redirection" settings,
