CB Integration was created by Victoria
Upgrading to K2-2.7 created a CRITICAL problem for my site by eliminating the ability to link K2 author names back to a CB profiles, it is quite upsetting since this integration is very important for my site.
Any update on when to move it back?
I installed back the previous K2 version and use it temporarily until the integration restores. Any other suggestions?

Hi Krikor,
Where can I find the new plugin when it is released, will it be an announcement at K2 homepage or a Notification at Joomla admin panel?
Thanks.

Unless Krikor refers to another developer, we have no intention (as JoomlaWorks) of supporting CB in any way from v2.7.0 on. Perhaps it's best for CB to make an integration plugin with other Joomla extensions, including K2.

Irresponsible practice from K2 for its users who have developed the website with this integration, and specifically when the site is up and going, depends on this function. Who makes the integration is not important as a user, but it seems to be the right act that whoever made the integration first keeps its responsibility to the community.

Totally agree with Victoria. Many of us have been waiting patiently for years(!) now for the promised K2 v3. There was no hint of this change in all of the earlier, detailed announcements about changes.
It is a major change, with no warning whatsoever.
Dropping CB integration means users who are invested in site that rely on both components must completely change our websites from scratch in order to move to J!3.5+.

Just wanted to notify users of other threads regarding this topic: here: www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/45078-2-7-community-builder-profile-conflict
and also on the CB forum (below).
As I understand it, it's actually impossible to create a plugin for this now, given the way that the updated K2 is coded. It would involve a K2 hack.
Many people have reached out to the CB team - who have indicated they are unable to help given the way K2 is now programmed:
www.joomlapolis.com/forum/153-professional-member-support/233485-5922-k2-integration-with-cb-how-does-it-work-and-how-will-upgrading-k2-affect-my-site#280735
The CB team also indicate they have reached out to Fotis, with no reply:
www.joomlapolis.com/forum/146-general/233250-k2-27-update-no-more-integration-with-community-builder#280536
All of us are relying on a response from the JoomlaWorks team in order to continue using & developing our sites / components. Removing integrations between well-used components benefits nobody in the long run.
A response would be very much appreciated by all of us.
