Video mp4 problem

I have a problem for the last couple of hours. I installed the newest AllVideos plugin and did exactly what was described in the support documents. But my video wont play.
I used an mp4 format video file and when i open the page of my site : www.distritech.nl/nl/inatec/inatec-movies.html
it looks like the videos are on and can be viewed.
The problem is that whenever i click on the play button the video wont play and the following message comes up:
he video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported: www.distritech.nl/images/stories/videos/1.mp4undefin...............
I made sure Joomla 1.5 wich im using is supporting the mp4 files and i put the videos in the right folder as said in the back-end of the plugin.
Can someone please tell me what i did wrong or what the problem is/solution?
Thanks
Marcel

I had the nearly the same problem, path was not found. I tried the remote version and it works now, but unfortunately without a still image, only black screen. So try this tag:
{mp4remote}http://www.fullpathtoyourvideo.mp4{/mp4remote}{/mp4remote}
Good luck!

the mp4remote was no solution for me. Still my Error message is
The video playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the video used features your browser did not support: www.mysite.de/images/stories/videos/FineStar2011-Ehrenpreis1.mp4undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined...
@marsdortmond: Did you find a solution or did that work for you?
Best regards
Michael

The problem was the profile the video was encoded in. This has to be the "baseline" profile in order to work properly on (atleast) Firefox, Safari and Chrome.

thanks for your kind advise.
I understand your idea, but frankly speaking, I do not want to re encode all the mp4 files on my website to make them work.
They used to work with the previous version of the plugin, so I think they should work with the latest version as well.
When looking into this forum. it seems to me that many people have this issue, so I would hope that the developer will look into this.
Best regards and have a nice day

At the moment please disable this AllVideos plugin parameter:
Compress player JS scripts using PHP: NO
and the video will display fine.

even after cleaning the Cache, the issue remains the same.
I am using Format Factory for encoding my videos, so it could be an issue with this software.
However, in the previous version of the plugin, this mp4 video was playing no problem with the embedded Quicktime player.

thanks for this update. I have installed it no problem but the issue still remains unchanged with mp4 files.
Still I am receiving the Error message:
The video playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the video used features your browser did not support: www.mysite.de/images/stories/videos/FineStar2011-Ehrenpreis1.mp4undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined
When changing to flv, the video plays OK.
Best regards

I have also issues with this plugin for MP4 within an article.
Following this post I was expecting to get the solution, but even with the new 4.2 release, it does not work.
Maybe I have something else wrong?, I get an black window without any button.
I succeeded to get video with youtube flag.
my MP4 is working fine with another plugin on an joomla 1.5 site.
Any idea about what I could check?

Actually, I am working on a local site.
On the other hand I tried to install this plugin on another remote site which is V1.5 joomla.
I succeeded to install the V4.2 plugin and it's working perfectly with the .mp4 file I am trying to install on my local V1.7 site.
So I guess that there is some where a kind of conflict?, any idea about some other test I could do ?
I did succeed wkth an .flv file also...
Best regards
thank you for any help

Looking to the script, I saw JWplayer...
Does that mean that I have to install something else beside the plugin ?
is JW player part of the plugin installation ?
Thank you
Dominique

I use AllVideos 4.3 in Joomla 1.5.25 and the situation is this:
1) with PC Windows if I use IE 8 is all ok, with Firefox the file less than 10 MB is ok, the files over (I have a file of 28 MB) don't start (you press the PLAY button and in the center of the screen the "daisy" continues to turn and will not appear the video
2) with MAC if I use Safary is all ok, with Firefox all the files don't run: the "daisy" continues to turn and will not appear the video
Some help?
You can test here:
www.peugeot5008.it/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=417&Itemid=209
From PC with Firefox the video 3 don't start (in IE8 are all ok), with MAC and Safari are all ok, with Firefox no one work.
NEWS: I test one minute ago with AllVideos 4.4 and the problem with Firefox is always present!

i also followed these steps www.itoctopus.com/how-to-resolve-the-most-annoying-jw-player-error-in-joomla but no success either in my case.. :'(

I am having the exact same problem.
Joomla Version 2.5.14
AllVideos Version 4.5.0
Browsers: IE10, Chrome 30.0.1599.69, Firefox 24.0 and Safari
I have tried to re-encode all the MP4 videos in H264 format, with out any success.
All other video formats work, except, MP4. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is an internal website so I can't provide any links to it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The same applies to h.264. You can see the detailed list of browser support here: caniuse.com/#search=H.264

Firefox seems to support mp4 but only partial support. This means that some issues are to be expected even in the latest version.
