I broke my site or some of it! was created by Anne Marie Rasmussen
I just transferred the working version of my site to the live domain. Everything was working fine until the transfer. All the correct changes made to the configuration file on the transfer. Most of the site is still working fine. However the two modules used for "our work" and "case studies" are now just looping to the home page instead of to the modules as in the demo. I can't seem to find why they won't load properly. I've had to take the site offline until I can get it fixed. The site is now at doggoneartmagazine.com If you still have the log on credentials I sent before they should work for you.

Hello Anne Marie,

I can see other errors as well. (Error loading component: , Component not found) - Information menu item.

Since all the K2 content Is handled through that menu item, K2 cannot display the content and renders the index.php instead.

Hi, It was working fine through the development site. It wasn't until I moved it to the main domain that it stopped working. So how do I fix it?

Which component is producing this error?

Both are K2 Content modules. I just changed the name of the modules but they are the "our work" and "case studies" modules in your demo. Other than changing names, content and some menu items I didn't change anything else. As I said it was working fine until I moved it to the main domain. After that it stopped working properly.

I am referring to the information menu item.
That is producing the Error loading component: , Component not found.

You need to fix that menu item or change it to something else in order to get your site working properly again.

I tried unpublishing the menu item and now just get articles or categories not found with the top module. The 2nd module labelled "In our current Issue" I now get categories not found and it wasn't even linked to the menu item "information". I'll have to spend an hour or 3 later today trying to find the error or just re-doing everything. Not sure why moving it from one directory to another would have caused it to break.

Did you enable any other plugin?
Eg. Did you enable any SEO/SEF extensions, changed any cache settings?

I will need to see the configuration.php file if that is ok with you.
You can use the contact form to send me FTP access.

I use the native Joomla SEF. I had Jotcache installed but have tried to uninstall to see if that was the problem. I have turned off and turned on every menu item. Turned off and turned on modules. I've even tried to change the K2 content module sources from category to specific items.
Finally I moved the files back to the sub-directory .... the K2 content modules worked properly again. But as soon as I moved the files back to the main directory again the K2 content modules fail to load properly. I'm now to the point that I will have to give up on the K2 content modules (& template portfolio style) and change the front page altogether to plain component if I can't get it fixed soon. The site's now been down for nearly 4 days. I'm sending you the credentials if you want to look at the confiq file. Maybe you'll see something I've missed.

It can be the live_site_url parameter.
Btw I did not receive any credentials,
do you mind resending them?

Ps. Let me know when you 've sent them just to make sure they did not end up in the spam folder.
