Possible conflict with Artisteer templates menus was created by jmuehleisen
I have an Artisteer 3.1 built template and am using FPSS 3.01 on a new Joomla 1.7 site.
Artisteer has a "expand on hovor" option for menus in the sidebars which seems to conflict with FPSS.
When FPSS is not enabled, the "expand on hovor" works fine. When FPSS is enabled, the "expand on hovor" does not work.
I have checked this on Chrome and FF.
I am suspecting a Javascript conflict here between FPSS and the menuing system, but am not sure, and do not know how to resolve this. I have tried each of the options in the FPSS configuration relating to the "JQuery library handling," but the problem remains.
If I chose the option "Do not load the JQuery library" ... the "expand on hover" menus work just fine, but the slides in FPSS do not load.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Your site is loading jQuery twice. Maybe this is causing your issue. Please try to resolve this by loading jQuery only once (latest version is highly recommended).

Thanks for your advice on the JQuery issue. That confirmed my suspicion that is was indeed related to that.
In FPSS I set the "JQuery library handling" to "do not load the JQuery library", and that caused the menus to work again, but the images did not load in FPSS.
The next thing I tried is to edit the template index.php file to remove the loading of the JQuery library there.
In this case, the FPSS slide show worked fine, but the menus did not work as expected.
So, am I correct in concluding that this is basically a JQuery conflict between the library version used by FPSS and the template?
I appreciate your help.

Frontpage Slideshow comes with some options about the jQuery version. Did you try all of them while the other jQuery instance is disabled?

In each case the results were the same: FPSS worked fine, but the template menus didn't work as expected (drop on hover).

Yes, I commented out the references to the jQuery in the template code, and test the site with each of the 4 jQuery library options in FPSS.Did you try all of them while the other jQuery instance is disabled?

@britstak,
did you try changing the jquery library handling option in FPSS module parameters?

yes i have tried all of the options avalible on the jQuery library handing.
The local copy options make the menu work but the image dont appear.
The remote copy options make the FPSS work but not the menu.
