menu to "edit item" from frontend seems broken was created by Marianna Ganci Brown
Hi,

I'm developing my site in Joomla 1.7 (using Search Friendly URLs)
and I found that the menu item to "front end edit item" send me to a broken page.
I get a : 403 - You are not authorized to view this resource error message

Is there a way around it?

Thanks

I get this too. Though think mine is a 404, I have got it working once by setting the menu item to registered. But the next day it wasn't working. Think I've read in another topic somewhere that it's fairly buggy.

I'm on 1.5.23, tried using a custom template itemform and the default itemform from menu, but both aren't working with a your not authorised to view it when they popup. I have had them working once, after a lot of mucking around but now they say again that I'm not authorised.

be sure you set the Post New Item to allow in your Backend K2 Usergroup.

It works from the profile link, but the menu I created, which is directed to K2 ->Create item doesn't work, which I was going to use for a custom createitem form.

I create my own templates. But I can't see why the template would cause a problem ? It's basically the look and field (stylesheets, divs etc..)

Found the render, didn't work for me though. Seems more like a file permissions error or something, though weird I can add item from the profile link.

Here's the link in the menu item

index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&layout=itemform&task=add

is this correct?

Hello,

I have the same problem, 404. I am using the JA Mendozite template, T3 framework. It was mentioned above, that there is an issue with T3.
Unfortunately recent posts from Thorsten Renz seem to be deleted. Why's that?
Would you be able to provied details about the T3 issue? Or a fix/workaround?

Thank you!

EDIT: The Thorsten-Renz-Link is working again. But there is no working fix on that page.
