How do I let Administrator change Author in Item was created by Robin
Hi,
The Administrator is not able to change the author of items in the backend. I get this error message when I try:
"403 - An error has occurred.
You are not authorized to view this resource
Return to Control Panel"
I need the Administrator to be able to change the Author without giving them Super Admin rights. How can I accomplish this?
I am using Joomla v. 1.7.3
K2 v. 2.5.4
Thanks!

Now, this issue is becoming a pain in the neck, and no one of the genius developers of K2 wants to solve it.

Please upgrade to Joomla 2.5. Your issues will probably go away then... There's no reason NOT to upgrade to 2.5...

Hi. Please update K2 to it's latest stable version ( 2.5.7 currently ) and see if that solves your issue.

I think we've found what you guys mean. Please try the updated 2.5.8 (SVN) release. Grab it here: getk2.org/assets/svn/

Same problem here: Administrator can't change the author by editing the article.

Of course they can.
If you can't, show me where (upload a screenshot).

Hi,
Same problem: Administrator can't change the author by editing the article.
When I open an article and click the edit icon next to Auther, I am redirected to K2 Users.
When I select a user I get the message:
The entry "Super User" was added to the list.
It sounds so good
But,
There is a red button in the upper right named "Close" - nothing happens when I click on it.
It is subordinate to which user I choose as Author, the result is the same.
I can only get back to the article by using the browser's 'back' button.
When I return to the article, no Author has been added.
I use:
Joomla v. 3.9.11
K2 v. 2.9.1
What can I do to solve the problem?
Preferably an easy way since I'm not a programmer.
Thanks in advance :-)
