Hi,
Here's a beta version of a k2 plugin that searches k2 tags in the item text and adds a link to them.

Exemple :
-Your k2 published tags : k2, tech, my tag
-item text : A string that contains k2 tag and my tag
- new item text : A string that contains <a href="link_to_k2_tag">k2</a> tag and <a href="link_to_mytag_tag">my tag</a>

This plugin works actually in the item view.

TODO :
-Add params to select where the plugin takes effect
-Add a test to check if the k2 tag string is not in a html tag :
<a href="...." title="a string with a k2 tag">a string</a> should not be processed.

okay, first Report.

Works fine, there are just two things I found, before I go to the Birthday Party of my Brother.

If you have set a Tag called "K2" the link is broken- imho cause of the {K2Splitter} - ther should be a Placeholder, which will never be used as a TAG.

The Second is : If a Tag is called "Web" and the Word is Webslinger or Webdesign. It links to Webdesign and Webslinger.

I dont know what would be the best practice - use non-link in this example or link the full Word.

Yes, i've seen this feature :-) and i'm searching some workarounds to :

- not process strings in html tags
- only process words and not part of words

You might take a look into these extension/plugins for some useful functions:

- Glossary and Definitions Plugin (by Remository)
- RD Glossary (Mambot J!1.0)
- TitleLink

I think they have some options or functions that deal with Troponins issues...

Thanks for your efforts. This plugin looks very promissing. A few things I've noticed using J!1.5.15 and K2.v2.

I'm testing an embedded contact form from each k2 item using JoomlaForms from Phil Taylor. The form uses the page title (of the k2 item) as the subject line of the email and embeds a referlink in the email to let the admin know from where/what item the form came from. With your plugin off, the forms works as desired. When your plugin is activated, it strips both the pagetitle and referlink from the resulting email. I realize you are in beta with your plugin and the form plugin is not your creation, but if your plugin interferes with this plugin, it might also be interferring with other plugins as well. This is why I let you know.

In your intro of the plugin above, you mention some TODO steps and so it's possible that you are already aware of this.

The goal is to not include custom tags that link to k2 tags but really try to detect k2 tags in text by a secure mean which doesn't corrup the text.

I'm searching in php functions like preg_replace which i think is the solution.

Unfortunately, didn't have time to correct it. I think a regex would do the job but got client requests and other devs that take all my time...

I am using JCE and it seems to strip the object tag from being outputted?
