IAKI Plugin Issues was created by Simon Ormesher
Hi,
I have just migrated approx 5,000 articles from the Joomla core over to K2, and have the issue of not being able to display images with intro text in the category view. I then found the IAKI plugin on get2k.org and thought my prayers had been answered but, unfortunately this doesn't seem to have worked as I still have no images displaying.
I have not been able to find any documentation for the plugin, so hoping that somebody has some experience of setting the plugin up correctly.
I'm using K2 2.5.7 and Joomla 2.5 2.5.7 stable EMBER
Many Thanks

Hi. The images should appear in your item introtext of fulltext as they were in Joomla! articles. IAKI is then used to make those images K2 item images ( remove them from introtext and move them to K2 image "field").

Does the plugin need to be installed and enabled before importing the content?
I believe i have setup the plugin correctly, but I have no images still.
I did look on the INFORMATION page within K2 and cannot see that particular plugin within the list. Is this correct or should it be showing on that page?
Many Thanks

Are the images displayed in your article's introtext or fulltext?

That's normal. The introtext limit strips the HTML tags to prevent your site breaking.

Yes, I understand that's normal. But I was under the impression that the plugin would take the first image from the article and create an image that could be viewed in all template views?
Just as a side note, I have also tried using the "do not strip" functionality with the IMG tag, this also doesn't work. Its quite frustrating as everything about K2 is just what I need, and I do not understand why I can't get the image too show using one of these two methods.
Many Thanks

Is the image appearing in the item view? If yes, is it appearing as a K2 image or it's placed in introtext?

Yes the image shows in the item view, but it is only appearing as an image within the article text, always we have the image as the first line of the article. So shows up in the code as an image tag.
