Problem after K2 v2.6.0 update was created by Mariana Ramírez Figueroa
Hi, I just updated K2 component and when I go to my frontpage to view the K2 items the next text appears:

Please check your setting to get the items or maybe you need to write your K2 items first.

In the backend the message is this:

Model class cpanelModelCpanel not found in file

It was working just before de update, does anyone else have this problem? how can I fix it??

Following the advice on this post getk2.org/community/New-to-K2-Ask-here-first/163046-Error-with-K2-v260-and-new-Joomla-257

I re-installed K2 previous version, problem fixed for now...

Same problem here - and that is without updating to J.2.5.7 like some people have ie still using 2.5.6.
Going to hold out for now - hoping for a solution soon...?

I suppose the error: Please check your setting to get the items or maybe you need to write your K2 items first. is generated by Mini K2 module from Template Plazza, there on their website is a new version updated v.1.2 (Oct 2012 v.1.2 fixed helper.php to be compatible with K2 v.2.6.0) for K2 v2.6.0. Just download, install on top on the old one already installed and empty the cache if is enabled. It should work without any problem. Worked in my case.

All my K2 items now show 403 errors, none of the templates or modules I have used from JoomlaBamboo work, everything I have worked on for the past several months is broken. Hundreds of pages. I am heart broken.

I did delete the aforementioned .php file and got rid of that error, but everything else is still broken.

I will install older version, thank you Jesus.

If it doesn't work I'll be back.

Sigh!

@carol - just a note.....please try ..backup software and use it regularly on your site before making large changes, and backup regularly. My preference is akeebabackup

Yes. I do. I've used Akeeba Backup for two years at least. Backed up a couple of days ago but what a drag to restore an entire site just because of a tiny thing that this happened to be. Also am on cell data and to do a proper restore would take more data than I pay for, or have time for. I'm just glad this worked out...at least as far as I can tell...by reinstalling the older version. Thanks for your concern though. :kiss:

@Carol Jones

Can you please provide some more information about your issues when you installed K2 2.6? What Joomla! version are you using? What were the errors?
