If you are talking about the feed of articles on the left of the demo.getk2.org site, it looks like a K2 category view set to show on the home page, with 1 leading in 1 col, 2 primary in 2 cols , and 2 secondary in 1 col with multiple categories selected and featured items first

When you create a menu item with multiple categories, set the leading to be in 2 columns.
If you prefer use k2_content modules and place two different modules in grid positions side by side and tweak the settings per your needs
