Invalid Arguments

Category: English K2 Community

I went to add some more items in the K2 component today but when I clicked on Components -> K2 -> Items, I got the following messages:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in D:\Hshome\chriswise\chriswisephotography.com\administrator\components\com_k2\views\items\view.html.php on line 64 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in D:\Hshome\chriswise\chriswisephotography.com\administrator\components\com_k2\views\items\view.html.php on line 168 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in D:\Hshome\chriswise\chriswisephotography.com\administrator\components\com_k2\views\items\tmpl\default.php on line 108 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in D:\Hshome\chriswise\chriswisephotography.com\libraries\joomla\database\database\mysql.php on line 383

So, I figured I'd reinstall K2 and then I got the following errors

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in
D:\Hshome\chriswise\chriswisephotography.com\libraries\joomla\database\database\mysql.php on line 375 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in D:\Hshome\chriswise\chriswisephotography.com\tmp\install_51a7a39a27f48\script.k2.php on line 220

The thing is, on the front end - the website views fine and it shows the K2 articles. But in the admin end, is where I get these errors and can't see previous items.

Joomla Version: 2.5.11
PHP Version: 5.2.17
K2 Version: 2.6.6

You will have to check what is different between the category.php of the default template inside the component and the one you have in your template override.

What is in the line the error points to in your templates category.php file?

The path to the error is to the category.php file that is located in your template's folder. Just rename the folder of the com_k2 inside templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_k2 with adding an underscore to the folder name, like com_k2_. This way the override of the template will not run and the default from the K2 component will.

This way we will make sure that the error is in fact to the K2 template override and not the component itself.

The option you are disabling through the K2 parameters has to do only with CSS and Javascript as it states.

Have you tried to disable the K2 override in your template and see if the error remains with the default component's template?

Hi,

On my web page I would like to show Category and all its Subcategories without any item. I have main Category and 8 Subcategories.
I use Joomla! 3.1.1 Stable and K2 v2.6.6.

My problem is when I set "Sub-category blocks" to Show i get an error in log and blank web page with only Title and description of the first subcategory.

Here is the error in the log file:
mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method JDate::toMySQL() in /var/www/clients/client4/web13/web/borak/templates/ol_chranet/html/com_k2/templates/default/category.php on line 107

in attachments are screen-shots of K2 category settings

[SOLVED] Error: No articles to display

I got it to work! I logged into cpanel and then under MySQL Databases / modify Databases, I selected the database I am using for this instance of Joomla and clicked on "Repair DB" and it appears to be working fine!

I am backing everything up now and hopefully I can figure out what caused this.

I hope this is helpful.

Hello!

It's a clash between J2.5 default smart search plugin and K2 smart search plugin respectively.

I've stumbled upon the same problem but the simplest and fastest way to get rid of this issue is to disable default J2.5 'Content - Smart Search' plugin (I reckon You'll b using K2 for publishing articles etc.).

I'm sorry I can't do better at the moment but I'm also new to J2.5 and am still working out all the quirks. If I find a better solution I'll let u know soon enough.

P.S.
Would also b nice if You were to opt Your DB tables and so forth. Especially if You were doing a migration from a previous version of Joomla. Might b u have some 'cracked' tables or entries that've misbehaved. Try turning on Joomla error reporting and debug and see what they have to say about it.

Seems you are using a K2 plugin and it is not configured properly.

k2_additional_categories is not core k2 table!

[SOLVED] SQL syntax error

Category: English K2 Community

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')}' at line 1 SQL=SELECT `catid` FROM xxxxx_k2_additional_categories WHERE `itemID` = {intval()}

Specifics
New Joomla 3.1 install
New K2 install from download link Date: 4/26
PHP 5.4
LAMP

How to reproduce:
Administrator>Control Panel
Click on "Add New Item"

Same result if you go to items page and click "+New"

Edit:
Reading the error I am unsure why it is trying to select since it is a new install and there have never been any items added.

If I knew where to find the query in the page I could debug but I don't know where you have the query code nested.

PHP MyAdmin

xxxxx_k2_additional_categories

Row Statistics
Format static
Collation utf8_general_ci
Rows 0
Next autoindex 1
Creation Apr 26, 2013 at 06:16 PM
Last update Apr 26, 2013 at 06:16 PM

SELECT `id` , `catid` , `itemID`
FROM `xxxxxxxx_joomla`.`xxxxx_k2_additional_categories`
MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows). ( Query took 1.3554 sec )

Again from PHP MyAdmin

SELECT `catid`
FROM `xxxxx_k2_additional_categories`
WHERE `itemID` = '1'

MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows). ( Query took 0.0019 sec )

Best guess:
{intval()} should not be getting passed to the query.
In other words.
The value of i (intval) should be getting passed to the query not the actual variable.

Hmm, If you can log into the admin try to clear all finder and smart finder terms. (be sure to delete them from the trash as well).

If that doesn't resolve the issue you might want to look for professional assistance or restore a full backup of your db.

Maybe you should restore a backup, maybe the db maintenance and optimization caused this.

I think this caused from com_finder though not 100% sure though.
