today i installed the "Simple Image Gallery PRO" and i'm pretty sad couse it wouldn't work. It's a new system of Joomla 1.5.7 i don't installed anything but the Simple Image Gallery PRO. The Problem are

- I allways get a popup instead a shadowbox.
- The thumbs wouldn't show.

Maybe you can help me.

As I can see, the mootools js library is already loaded to the template.
This could be create problem to the sig pro slimbox engine.
Try to change the engine to some else, like Lytebox, Greybox etc.

Also, as I can see, no thumbnails is viewed.
In the source of the page I can see the path of the thumbnail, but if I try to
see it throw the browser, your server return an "Access forbidden!" message.Try to change the permissions of the folder where are stored the thumbnails
to 644 or 777.

now i have set up a complete new system at xampp with the same
like on my webserver but on my local system and the sad thing it works. What can i do? All at the local system is the same with the different on the local system it works  :'(

In addition now i uninstalled the "simple image gallery PRO" and installed the "simple image gallery". now i can see the thumbnails but the problem with the popup ist still the same.

Why don't you retry to re-install the sig pro
change the popup engine to Litebox, or Greybox or Lytebox ( etc )
and change the permissions of the thumbnail's folder to 644 or 777.

I believe with these steps the sig pro will works just fine!

With sig free, if your template haw already the mootools, you will have conflicts!

now i tryed it so many times to get this plugin to run but nothing works. I set the chmod's and i changed the Popup Engine but nothing works and i don't know why. If i install the simple image gallery the thumbnails will be show but the lightbox wouldn't work.
If i install the simple image gallery pro the thumbnails wouldn't show and the lightbox wouldn't work too.
Can i do any special settings to get this plugin working?

I still can't see the thumb ( created from sig pro )
The server returns me an Access forbidden! message...

We have first resolve this problem before continue to the other!
You need change the permissions of this folder to be accessible from a "web user"
or otherwise from a "joomla user"!

Check throw a sell panel what permissions has the images/stories folder ( and from who user is accessible ) and give the same at the temporary folder of the sig pro.

I'm afraid, this work  must be done from your side at the server.
Ask the help of your server administrator, he will fix this permission issue!

If this problem isn't solved we can continue to the conflicts problems!

now i solved the problem with the thumbnails. The hoster told me there was a problem with the server.
Maybe you can tell me on what possition in the gallery the thumbnails or the permissions for the thumbnails will be set.


So now the images where shown. But the problem with the slimbox aren't solved and the
thumbs are not displayed like in a table.

You can check (and change if you want ) the temporary folder, at the plugins section of the joomla administrator!

Your template loads the mootools js library. But the default sig pro engine ( slimbox ) loads also the mootools js and this is the reason for the conflict.

Go to the plugins section, select the sig pro and change the popup engine
to Lytebox, or Greybox, or Litebox. Those engines don't use the mootools library
and I believe you won't have conflicts issue with those!

now i tryed every thing in the "Select Popup Engine" but nothing
would work how it should. If i selected the "Lytebox" nothing
was happened not even a popup.
What can i do to solute this Problem? Maybe the reason why
the thumbs are not displayed like in a table are the solution
for the thing with the greybox?!
