I am trying to apply captions.

I have tried everything explained.

Can someone help me figure this out.

I had to create my own labels.txt file but its not working.

I have changed the plugin parameters to use captioning from file, I have saved the txt file as UTF-8, I have uploaded it to the same folder as all my images?

Please help?

Enable the related option "Default caption (label) handling" in the plugin parameters and clean your cache to see what happens.

Have the parameter set to "read contents of caption files"  and cleared my cache, and still I can't see them?

Must be something with the fact that you're using an IIS server. Will need to check more thoroughly. Do you have an Apache based server environment available to test?

You are right, I am using an IIS server..
What do I need to check?

I don't have an apache web server to test on unless I installed a lamp server environment

I'm on an apache server, and had the same issue... had to open my txt files in dreamweaver and change the line breaks to LF (unix format)

Hmm still can't see anything?  Thanks for the suggestion though.

I really hope someone can help me figure this out as its very disappointing to not be able to use the captions??

The system should be less buggy because this appears to be a simple matter. I am awfully disappointed indeed!
