Hi everybody,
I am having trouble to get the feature "Redirect all links through your site's domain" work. Set the radio button on YES and It's just not working. Does anybody experienced the same problem?

Joomla 3.4.1
Simple RSS Feed Reader' Module v3.3

All files are installed and RSS feeds are shown without error. But the feed links Title, Picture and Read more are showing the direct domain to the feed article instead my website domain with redirect.

Also the module Title won't show even enabled in back-end!!!

Thanks in advance for sharing.

Hi,

Is there a link to the page with the issue? You might have to clean Joomla! cache in order to see the changes.

yes here is a link:

www.myanmarcopper.com/blog.html

Joomla cache several times cleaned also browser cache.

Still same links to the rss feed source file.

Thank you!

Are you using any template overrides for the module? Are you sure that you have set the parameter of the specific module correctly?

You can always try to use the development version from github.com/joomlaworks/simple-rss-feed-reader/archive/master.zip .

Hi and thank you for your time to investigate the problem with the redirect through sites#s domain name.

I am not using any module overwrite for the simple-rss-feed-reader module.
Also I can assure you that all settings are correct in the module admin.

I downloaded the module from the github link you provided.
Now the Menu Title is displayed after overwriting the installed module files with that from the master.zip.

However, the redirection of the feed link through the website domain is not working. It might be a bug.

The simple-rss-feed-reader module is the best I can find for my Joomla installation and I'd like to thank you for providing the Joomla community your module free of charge.

It's just a pity hat the feature of redirect is not working. Especially for people who are interested in best possible SEO for their websites this feature might be crucial.

I hope very much that a solution is on horizon.

Did you folks ever get this working? I am not having luck yet. The Simple RSS Feed reader gets results just fine, but if "redirect through site's domain" is checked, I get a 403 error.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello Dorothy,

Which version of the extension are you using?

I am using the current version of Simple RSS Feed Reader, was updated April 9, 2016.
At this point, I have verified that the advertised "option to redirect all external feed links through your site's domain (slightly improves your SEO)." does not work on a 3.6.2 site, even with the stock Joomla! .htaccess file, without Admintools' .htaccess maker. It results in a 403 regardless.

I really need this to work - but I'm stumped.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I cannot verify this behaviour on my end.
The links are being redirected as expected.

Is the /modules/mod_jw_srfr/redir.php file accessible?
