I installed the RSS module. It's easy, it looks nice and it's exactly what I was looking for. But I don't get RSS updates (cache refresh is set to 30 minutes). I'm looking at the same information for more then 1 week now (and sure there is new information available at the RSS-provider's site). I checked al the possibilities but I don't find anything to change. Did I do something wrong ?

Have you tried disabling the module's cache?

yes, the Cache is disabled but nothing happened. There is no refreshing of the feeds. I developed the Site on my local MAMP and on my localhost are no Problems with the refreshing. But it doesn't work on the Live-Server. Do you have any idea?

Hello, old post but current issue: did somebody solve this problem?
I tryed to delete cache, disabled it but still no update.
The strange things is that in the cache file cache/mod_jw_srfr/feeds/myfeed.cache I have the updated news content. Why the module showed me the old content?

I am having this issue as well. I disabled the cache in the module, but it still will NOT display the new / updated content from the RSS feed.

Sad that it is not working. I gave Simple RSS 5 stars in the JED because it was working perfect. However after using it for 3-4 days, now it will not display new / updated content from the feed.

I'm having the same issue on my site.  :(

Viewing the file in this folder, /cache/mod_jw_srfr/feeds/, shows everything is updated, but it still doesn't show on the front end of the site. I even deleted the folder, refreshed the site, and saw the file recreated with the new information but no update on the front end.

And for good measure, I commented out line 27 in the helper.php file where the $cachetime variable appears duplicated in line 118. Still no resolution. Help!

Which RSS and Joomla version do you use please?
