[Solved] Getting warning, please help

Warning: get_headers() [function.get-headers]: This function may only be used against URLs. in /homepages/3/d289912876/htdocs/joomla/modules/mod_jw_srfr/helper.php on line 347

I get the above message in the module and below the warning, I get the feed.

Please help.

The problem could be:
- a badly formed rss feed
- the installation was not successful

I'd recommend:
- uninstall
- make sure there is no folder left for mod_jw_srfr within /modules
- re-install

If you still get this error, it's a bad RSS feed.

I tried the above a few times as well as use different feeds.  I still get that warning. 

Please advise.  :(

Katia, thanks for the instructions... but what about if you are getting this same error in our error logs but NO feed showing at all... just a blank white page... i saw a report of this blank white page over here: forum.joomlaworks.net/index.php?topic=9859.0  but no replies to that yet, so i thought i would start here. Thank you!

did you

I have the same problem, I have de-installed, reinstalled and checked the rss feeds but errors remains the same.

I have mod rewrite on and sh404 running with .htaccess, can't it be the problem ?

ok, I have found a solution. I give you the tip :

it's a problem due to the hosting server and the php right on it.You have to have allow_url_fopen configured at "on". I put a "php.ini" file with this value and the warning message is gone.
