Disqus Comments (for Joomla) v3.7.0 released

Disqus Comments (for Joomla) has just been updated to v3.7.0.

This new release improves compatibility with the latest Joomla 3.8.x releases & implements the new Disqus embedding snippets.

More specifically, this release:

  • uses the new simplified Disqus embedding snippets
  • improves overall compatibility with Joomla 3.8.x
  • fixes error messages appearing when viewing Joomla articles in a tag view (forum reference link)
  • fixes the comments counter in both listings and article views,
  • fixes PHP notices/warnings
  • fixes content plugin parsing issues side-effect in Joomla article listings (e.g. AllVideos rendering broken)
  • features improved CSS styling (less opinionated)

Disqus Comments (for Joomla) is fully compatible with Joomla versions 1.5 to 3.x & for PHP versions from 5.5 to 7.2 (less than 5.5 was not tested).

UPGRADING

Simply install on top of any other 3.x release. The update will also appear in the Joomla extension updater (for Joomla v2.5 or newer).
