I am embedding an mp4. The video embeds fine, but takes forever to load. It is a large video, but it makes you wait til the whole thing has loaded before you start watching. Then when it finally does load and play it is a black screen with audio only.

I have the tag {mp4}pain_mgmt|600|450|1{/mp4} in the article.

We were just discussing this problem in another post.

Your video file is probably encoded with a video codec that is not supported by the Adobe Flash Player.

Format: MPEG-4 Visual should be Format: AVC which is the Advanced Video codec (H.264).

I did a quick test on this. My video conversion software uses a different codec by default. I converted an flv to mp4 and specified the AVC codec. It worked.

Which video converter do you use?
I use Super, but I always get the same problem: No streaming.... loading everything first....takes a lot of time...  :-\

I was having similar issues when I changed the decode to MP4 H.264 it loaded quick.

Now to figure out how to get a playlist so I don't have multiple players in an article. 

Also anyone know how to get a thumbnail to show in player rather than black?

You just need to add an image inside your video file.

Well without a HOW TO the response isn't real helpful.

The answer is for your video black screen.
You just add an image inside the video folder via the Media Manager on your site.

The playlist is not possilble.

I went to media manager and the video folder which current has 12 videos and uploaded a jpg.  Nothing changes still black and not showing image.

Why can't there be a play list?
