Chrome Full Screen Playback broke was created by Sam Harney
There appears to be a problem with the JWPlayer used by AllVideos and Chrome.  For some reason when the fullscreen video button is clicked the video doesn't actually go full screen, instead it attempts to go full browser (i.e. the url bar, buttons and tabs are still vissible when the video switches to full screen), and even worse its possible for html elements to sit on top of the video due to issues with the Z-Index.

I've seen this reported in general google searches in various forums on the web, but I cannot find anyone that has reported a solution to the issue, and I can't seem to locate any threads that directly deal with this issue here, especially one that includes a resolution.

You can see this problem on my site (Note: You will find other problems with the video playback on my site with Chrome due to the Z-Index issue, and I'm trying to get the developers of my template to address the Z-Index issue.)

Did you try a different video format?

No I have not... I need the videos to be desktop and mobile compatible, and MP4 tends to be the most supported for mobile devices.

Right now it is working in other browsers going full screen properly, but Chrome is only going to full window.

I converted the Logo Ink Drop video using HandBrake to an iPad compatible MP4, I also tried the iPhone compatible, and optimized both for web... The end result was the same error message as before; only it happened to my desktop and mobile where with the original file it only happened on mobile devices.

Is it just me, or does the reports of problems with video play back appeared to have increased when AllVideos was converted over to this new JWPlayer?  This "undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined..." error needs to be addressed, and not just on an individual basis... somewhere some official information should be posted by the joomlaworks team... Things to try, and some kind of plan for how they intend to resolve this on a more permanent basis, and not keep trying to work around it.

MP4 is natively supported by Google Chrome, so the player is switching to full "HTML5 mode". In that mode, going full-screen means covering the entire browser viewport and not extending to the entire screen. This doesn't happen with Firefox, as the player falls back to "Flash mode"... Safari playback is HTML5 too but Safari has a different playback behaviour to Chrome. In any case, it's no bug...

Ok then I would consider that a bug in Chrome... As such is there a way to force Chrome to load the flash version of the player until Google fixes this?

Has there been any progress on this issue? Has anyone found a workaround?
