I'm Raph and a beginner in the use of Joomla (2.5 version).

I've managed to add a local video to an article with allvideos reloaded but now I'm trying to add a youtube one and it is not working.

Here's what I've typed: {youtube}bRzKUVjHkGk{/youtube}

Unfortunately it shows like that on my page instead of a beautiful Joe Cocker Woodstock video.

Can you help me?

I have been trying 1,000 things, reading many posts and it seems like I did everything perfectly but for some reason it is not working at all (for any youtube video).
I'll try dailymotion.

Have you enabled on Prepare content plugin events? If you are using a module make sure this setting is enabled.

PS. You can try with the full URL as well. (Just strip the playlist params if there any)

I don't know if I have enable that... I need to check.

All I know is:

my local videos work perfectly
I manage to make a youtube video work a few days ago, but don't know why it worked but it doesn't anymore.

I will see what i can do with the prepare content plugin... If you have more info on it, it will be appreciated!

The prepare content is an option located in the Custom HTML module's Basic settings.
All you need to do is Enable that and the plugin will render in your page.

Actually it wasn't enabled, but it probably was at some point.

I did activate the module Custom HTML module (without seeing any reference to some "prepare content" option...).
I assigned it to all of my site's pages but the videos still won't work.

I noticed I had unpublished a lot of modules that came with joomla 2.5. Could any change in that fix my problem?

Just some info,

If I write this in an article:  {flv}mlk{/flv}    {youtube}IQ9n2_5mbig{/youtube}

The local file will play perfectly and the youtube link will just not... really weird...

Make sure that you do not have any unwanted styling tags like paragraphs, etc when pasting the youtube's video ID.
