is it possible to show a preview image if using the remote function?

I have placed my video file on a remote server: myremotedomain/video11.mp4

In my Joomla article I have this code inserted:

{mp4remote}myremotedomain/video11.mp4{/mp4remote}

This way the video works, but it shows a black box before playing.

To receive a preview, I made a screenshot of the video, named it "video11.jpg" and placed it into the same folder as "video11.mp4". Nevertheless, no preview appears in the video, there is still only a black box.

Will I have to add some code in order to connect the picture to the video?

This option for the preview image works when the video is in a local folder not a remote, I'm afraid.

I am using the Allvideos extension in a local server and I can´t see the preview image. I just see a black image at the begining, when I play the video it works ok and if I stop I see the image of the pause but I would like to see the preview image the first time I log in in my web.

Hi. You just place a jpg image with the same filename as the video in the same folder.
