Hi there i wondered if someone could explain to me the correct way to instal the plg_jw_allvideos-v4.5.0_j1.5-2.5-3.0 package, on joomla 3, installing this via the extension manager throws dozens of errors, and installs misconfigureed _jw_etc components that throw more errors when i try to display any properties, meanwhile no videos are showing either, am i missing somehthing, what is this file _jw_allvideos.xml for?

SimpleImageGallery has the exact same problem, ive searched through the docs, and cant find anything!!

Hi. Just tested and both extensions install fine under Joomla! 3.2.3. Are you under Joomla! 3.2.3 ? If yes then probably this is a matter of server setup issue and you will get the same behavior with any Joomla! extension not only with AllVideos.

Its really weird man, i have dozens of other extensions, components and such, would u like some screenshots, the install packages arent recognized for some reason.

Since they dont do any damage when they throw these errors ill do a quick install now and take some happy snaps.

Im pretty sure it must be something to do with locales or .. i just dont know, im very experienced i also write components and so on, but this is not something ive seen b4, why do u include 2 xml files inside the packages, 1 with the preceeding _ ?

You kno i actually bought a theme from joomshaper, with ur extensions already inststalled in an error state! anyway heres some pics, would love to solve it! im sure its nothing too hard to figure out.

... ok thats really weird, apon trying to recreate the issue they installed cleanly... very strange! When i first saw this prob i noticed _jw_ components with no detail in the extension manager list, when i tried to click them i got db errors so i just removed them manually, sorry i couldnt be more helpful.

Sooo. some time later i was in my admin and noticed i had 2 disabled plugins both starting with _ char, so i tried to enable them? what are they? and i get this... imgur.com/b04ergC

We are using two XML files to support both Joomla! 1.5 and 2.5/3.x series. You can just install our extensions using the extension manager. Then you can ignore the XML files starting with _, they will not do any harm.
