SWF fails - wrong path was created by Ralf Longwitz
Hello,
I'm trying your AllVideo-plugin for the first time. Thanks for making this available for free.
My first test was with a swf video. For swf, AllVideo tries to load several files: video_controller.swf, video_config.xml, video_preload.swf, and config.xml.
Only video_controller.swf is found. This is, because AllVideo tries to find the other files in the root directory instead of the selected directory images/videos/etc
Also, I do have a file "video_config.xml", but I don't have a file "config.xml".
(video" is the name of the video that is supposed to be shown)
Do you have a solution for this?
I now loaded the "missing" files into the root folder - the video runs in spite of the missing config.xml.
But: The video starts playing immediately in spite of the global setting for Autoplay set to "no".
Thank you!
Regards,
Ralf.

Hi. Is there a link to your site demonstrating the issue?

Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply. I opened a ticket that contains a link - I was sent here, to the public forum ... Unfortunately I cannot provide a link publicly. I'm happy to send you a link privately.
Meanwhile I solved the autorun issue by creating an article that contains nothing but the video plugin code and then load that article in a modal window (NoNumber Modals plugin).Within that modal window the video loads correctly - all the paths are right. - sorry! No, the paths are always wrong.
This is the AllVideo plugin code: {swf}Videos/video_controller{/swf}
But again, if I paste this exact same code directly into the video-article, the paths are wrong as described above.
Regards,
Ralf.

I don't see at all the AllVideos tag in the link you provided. AllVideos will try to load only the file you put in the tag. Now if the SWF you are using is looking for extra files then this is an issue of the SWF file.

Thank you. That's quite possible that it's in the swf. But I wouldn't know how to find out. It' created with Camtasia. For the next recording I'll check the settings there. For the time being I'm working with mp4 and the HTML5Media plugin - which doesn't work well on my phone ... so still looking for a good solution. Meanwhile I spent a lot of time in JED and videos are not well covered. Either it's totally overdone and too expensive for my purposes (>$100), or it's a plugin like yours, for free, but not really usable for my average client (they'd freak out if they had to deal with the plugin code ...)
Perhaps there's a niche for you, if you created something like your excellent Simple Image Gallery, for videos. That one works with a plugin, too, but very simple.

You can also use AllVideos with mp4 videos. By the way AllVideos 4.6.0 has been released today. Regarding the code this is the de-facto way for content plugins. Of course we always are looking for new ways to make things simpler.
