publishing local videos was created by ita4012
Hi. I would like to publish an mp4 video inside an article. The Url of the video is
www.waterwind.it/j25/Video/Frassanito_18_luglio_2014.mp4
I set the local video folder of allvideos configuration to Video
and type this code in my article where I want the video to be published
{mp4}Frassanito_18_luglio_2014{/mp4}
But the video doesn't appear. What's wrong?

Hi. Have you set the correct path in the plugin settings? If the root of your site is www.waterwind.it/j25 then you should set the path to "Video" in order to get this tag working.

Something is wrong with the specific video. It behaves the same even if you try to view it directly in your browser without AllVideos www.waterwind.it/j25/Video/Frassanito_18_luglio_2014.mp4 . Try to either use a different video or encode the video again using a different software.

I don't know what to say, 'cause I can normally watch the video, at the linked I wrote, with Chrome and IE.
I'll try with another video, or I'll be forced to change extension

I tried with another video and now it works. It is also an .mp4, but it is a light movie (only 5 MB), while the other one is 580 MB! So the problem must be the weight file.

The video will stream (on www.neu.globalboys.ch/index.php/globalcup) on Chrome and IE.
It is not an issue of the extension or of how you encoded your video. Firefox does not support mp4 videos.
It will start supporting them from the next version.
