AllVideos Plugin & Joomla 1.5? was created by rw1
Hello,

Is this possible at the moment or will there be a future release compatible with Joomla 1.5? Any time soon?  ;)

Thank You.

Hope you don't mind me posting in your thread rw1, I just wanted to say I'm wondering that as well. I'm just trying out Joomla 1.5 (on local server). I've already had AllVideos working (quite nicely- kudos, Fotis :) ) on J1.0 x, and hope that it will either work on 1.5 with 'legacy mode' enabled, or that u might release an Allvid's for the 1.5, either way,k thaks again for this great extension.cheers

no worries webwannabee, yes i am a big fan of this extension too, would hate to leave it behind as i move towards 1.5. actually i'm delaying the launch of my site till i find out if this plugin will be available in 1.5.  such easy implementation and clean interface - love it! so fingers crossed!

Until j1.5 is released as stable, we won't be converting our extensions just yet.

But I can promise this: when j1.5 goes stable, all JW will be released within a week's time to support the new version. ;)

Please think very carefully before going for j1.5 on a production website...

It may help others to know there is an alpha version for 1.5 available now (PS - I don't think this is an official joomlaworks version though).

See joomla forum topic discussing it:

forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,245658

And download it here:

joomlacode.org/gf/project/allvideos15/frs/?action=FrsReleaseView&release_id=6251

Yippee!

Best plugin in the world? Probably :)

Hi there,

I'm new to your forums but not to the AllVideo plugin. I use this plugin on several of my important websites. At the moment each of these sites is a Joomla! 1.0x site. I don't dare mess with them until I know AllVideo is Joomla! 1.5 compatible.

I would like to be the first one to know about 1.5 compatibility when it's ready to go. Is following this thread the best way to find out or will you be making a specific announcement for AllVideo when it happens?

Thanks, and kudos for one of the coolest plugins for Joomla!

Ditto on all counts.  What's the news now that Joomla 1.5 stable has been out for over a month?

Ditto here as well.  I'm working on my first 1.5 site and decided to go ahead and try legacy mode to buy a little time for a few key components.  Ironically, the one I wanted the most (allvideos) doesn't seem to work in legacy mode.  Not sure why.  Would love to hear if someone has it working.

Until then, I'll be anxiously waiting to hear about your 1.5 version.

On Joomla.org, I was able to find an extension called "All Videos Reloaded".  On the front end, it looks exactly like All Videos.

extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,3955/Itemid,35/

That plugin doesn't work all that well on my site.

There is another plugin that works effortlessly:

extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,4053/Itemid,35/

The only problme with this one is that it doesn't fix the EOLAS issue

Thanks for the tip.  I downloaded it and had it working in under 5 minutes!

I used allvideos reloaded as well when I found that allvideos 2.x did not work with my joomla! 1.5 site.  It works nicely but I did have one question, is it possible to have the mp3 I put on the home page to play throughout the whole site without interruption?

thanks

all the suggested options do work but do not work as gr8 as the one released here. since this one does also work within fireboard while the alternative previous named do not support vids in fireboard.
So also am looking forward an update compatible with J1.5 since its stable.

I'm running Joomla 1.5 and I have installed the  All-in-One plugin, however it does not seem to work at all with Joomla 1.5, even with legacy mode enabled.  Can you confirm?

Hello Fotis, I think they are saying joomla 1.5.4 is stable now. :)

Can you port the allvideos plugin now?
