Apologies if this has already been covered, I have tried searching for the answer but no joy.
I can embed third party videos fine and they all come with video controls (play, pause etc) but when I embed my own .flv or .swf it just auto plays and I have no control.

no one really have any ideas, am I missing something really stupid? Do I need another program like fireworks?
