thanks for the nice videoplayer.
I got Allvideos 4.7 'responsive' running on a Joomla 3.3.6 website and i include 2 vimeo and 1 youtube videos on the responsive website.
The problem is: the videos are not scaling exactly to the grid of the site. No matter what i do the videos are exceed the width of the article (4 column grid).

The videos have NO sizes, I just put the code parameters from Youtube/vimeo to the article (Allvideos plugin is enabled).

PS Another thing i do not understand in general:
WHY do i have to put 'parameters in pixel' as default parameters for the videoplayer?
If it is "responsive" i would use 100% not 300 x 200 px ...???

Hi,

If you select the "responsive" layout you are not required to enter the dimensions at all. The width of the video will be set to 100%. This means that the final width will be controlled by the container element of the video.

Since this is not working for you, i guess that something is wrong with your site's template. A link to the page with the issue would be very helpful.

thank you for your reply. Well, i do not enter any dimensions - the only dimensions (in pixel ?) there are in the plugins options/settings...
No idea how to get the videos to have the same width as the images have ...

The built in style sets a minimum width of 320 pixels for the videos.

If you want you can remove the rule that does that. First read the section "MVC Templating" at the documentation page at www.joomlaworks.net/support/docs/allvideos . Then after you create your override, just locate the rule in the css file ( it should be around line 21 ) and remove it.

You should also try to update to the latest version ( 4.7.1 currently) .

You are totally right, i apologize for the inconvenience. Just try the code i provided. If that does not work try the development version from github.com/joomlaworks/allvideos/archive/master.zip .

i edited the *.css file - set the default size to 100 px.
That's small enough and now that worked for me ;-)
If i got he time on weekend or something i will do the override in order to take care of next updates.

Thank you for providing us with this free plugin. It is very easy to use.

I was experiencing the same challenge that nuckel was facing using version 4.7.
I followed the advise that you offered in thread (#145146) - and installed master.zip from github. I did not un-install v4.7 before installing master.zip - The 4.7 plugin was overwritten. In the plugin's Video Parameters, I selected the Responsive template.

Master.zip worked great! It rescaled the video(s) so that they do not hang-out / extend to the right anymore.

My remaining challenge is that using the responsive template changes how the videos look on a laptop and desktop - they fill the display area... and I think it would look better if they were smaller. Thanks.

I don't see any issues in your page. The video is resizing correctly. What's the issue?
