i've implemented allvides on a joomla 3.4.3 page to show a small mp4 video. So far so good.

But on both sides there are shown to black bars. I tried several things but nothing helps. Any idea?

The video has an 4/3 aspect whereas the responsive template forces a 16/9 ratio.

You can override the template (read the "MVC Templating" part in www.joomlaworks.net/support/docs/allvideos) and after you have overridden the responsive template. Replace each instance of 56% with 75% in the template's css file.
