Hi, there are a number of sites which still link back to us using embed codes provided by the old 3.3 version of your plugin. Do you have a method (such as 301 redirects) which can translate those into working video links (our site is now migrated to Joomla 3.4 and your current plugin)? The JavaScript in the current 4.7 release is dramatically different so if we can't translate these links, do you have any better plan for webmasters than having to either contact 100's of websites to request updates of old pages or to be stuck with lots of 404 links in our Google Webmaster Tools? Thanks for any help.

I don't get exactly what do you mean when you say that the videos are linking back to you. Can you provide more details on this?

As a side note, the version of the plugin that you are using is really old we recommend to update as soon as possible.

Yes, we have already upgraded our site to the current plugin. The problem is that the old plugin had the option of allowing other people to copy embed code (similar to what I posted) and to add it to their own site to stream our video files from our server but embedded in their site's pages. Lots and lots of sites did this so now we have many sites trying to hit our server using the old links which of course no longer work after our site migration.

My question is whether you guys had a plan for how to translate the old embed method to something which works without requiring the dependent sites to change all of the code your plugin published in the past. For instance, I could rewrite the urls to the player if that was all that was required.

This was removed by the player that AllVideos is using. Is there a sample code from a site that links to your videos?
