What is the coz for slow video playback..?
I would like videos to be played smoothly irrespective of the size of the videos

Please advise

The video is streaming fine on my end, on some parts it was slow, but due to bandwidth/ connectivity issues.
How large is this video?

The Video format is mp4, size around 139MB
If I convert the video to FLV using this software www.winxdvd.com/hd-video-converter-deluxe/?cus-ins5.9.3,
Video reduced by 75%,
So it's better to convert mp4 videos to FLV ..?

139mb is a bit too much, especially if you are on a slow-ish connection (like me) or you are already streaming another video or music.

Flv is not really recommended since it requires Flash, which is not supported in mobile devices.

You can try another encoding services, or you can upload the video to YouTube or Vimeo.

Actually, that is the sample video, other videos are upto 200-600MB in size
client has been complaining about slow video playback
The website uses membership feature, upon membership videos are available for the users
we do not want videos directly available on youtube url or vimeo.

any further suggestions appreciated

Streaming 600mb is a bit too much if your hosting environment is not suitable for this.

Personally I would try to use a different encoding service.
