After several years of working like a charm, Allvideos no longer works on my site. I'm accessing an flv video from Hostgator using the link:

{flvremote}www.domainname.com/templates/js_verdant/images/videos/videoname.flv{/flvremote}.

This pathway is placed in a joomla article, right where it's been all along. I have updated Allvideos without removing the old version, and have removed the updated version and reinstalled the newest version (4.7.0 for joomla 2.5) I could find. I also tried connecting to a youtube video using {youtube}BsZPQ6sHUYc{/youtube}, and that didn't work either. I contacted Hostgator support in hopes that there would be someone there who is familiar with joomla/Allvideos, but no luck. I don't recall needing additional link description (<a href etc) to make this work, but maybe I'm missing something.

Make sure that the "Prepare Content" setting is enabled if you are using a module and I cannot find a page with a video on your site.
