Hi, have noticed a playback issue on a site where the audio player is trying to play from a remote soundcloud mp3 file.

Not sure when the issue started or at what version of allvideos, or even if allvideos is causing the issue.

Initially noticed the player controls were missing. Increased the player height from 24 to 48px and also have tried different templates.

Also downgraded to 4.7.0 and then reinstalled 4.8.0.

Whatever was tried the audio failed to play. This audio has played in the past.

Inspecting the page I get this error:

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED
ping:1 Can't load URL: The domain of this URL isn't included in the app's domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and sub-domains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings.

Any ideas?

while it should be:

Did you use the {mp3} or the {mp3remote} snippet?

Hi, the mp3 feed url was added using the editor Media tab.

The url added was feeds.soundcloud.com/stream/285620415-olabisi-obideyi-inspiration-time-podcast-the-believer-unbeliver-syndrome.mp3

I just added the {mp3remote} tag and it works fine. Not sure why the media tab is causing issues with the remote url?

Not really an issue of the extension, it the file is not explicitly marked as remote, then Joomla! will treat it as a local one, thus adding your domain in file's source.

The file url was added using the media tab, not the local file but the remote media box so should be played.

However, for whatever reason it's now playing as it should without having to add the {mp3remote} tags, which is goood as the authors would've had trouble adding them and the tab method works well for them.

No idea why I had the problem but all working!
