I'm building a members site which will have a video gallery. I'm a newbie so not sure the best way to lay out the videos. I've tired adding one per article or several, either way it seems to take an age to load the page (buffering each video?). Also, I don't seem to get a key frame, just a blank screen. Is there a way to get this?

I'm converting from DV .avi files to .mov. Is this the way to go or should I convert to .flv? Again, all these formats are a bit of a dark art to me and any advice on the best balance bewteen size/quality/compatibility appreciated. I have AVS Video Tools so can convert to most formats in a bewildering range of codecs and resolutions. The site won't have more than a few hundred members and say 50 hrs of videos.
